The guesthouse is about a 2-hour drive from Tokushima or Kochi Airport, and is ideal for travelers exploring Shikoku by car or bicycle.
It’s also a perfect base for discovering the spiritual culture of the Shikoku Pilgrimage and the simple beauty of rural Japan.

Our accommodations include five upstairs ocean-view rooms in the main building and five cozy log cabins that embrace the warmth of natural wood. Each space is clean and comfortable, offering gentle sea breezes and the calming sound of waves to enhance your stay.
Enjoy on-site amenities such as private family baths, a tea room with complimentary drinks (featuring a warm fireplace in winter), and a tennis court for casual recreation.
We also provide free Wi-Fi, convenient parking, and coin-operated laundry facilities for longer stays.
Dinner is a creative take on traditional Japanese cuisine, prepared by a chef skilled in authentic Japanese cooking. Fresh ingredients and care in preparation reflect our commitment to health and flavor.

A Seaside Bakery with a Taste of the Seasons
Seaside Bakery Hana is our cozy seaside bakery, where each loaf is handmade with carefully selected ingredients like Hokkaido wheat, rice flour, seasonal fruits, and organic products.
We invite you to enjoy our freshly baked bread, full of natural flavor and made with care.
Seasonal fruit jams and baked goods using local ingredients are also available—perfect as souvenirs or to enjoy by the sea.

Dinner: Local Ingredients with a
Creative Touch (Reservation Required)
Our dinner course highlights seasonal ingredients from Kaiyo Town, including homegrown vegetables cultivated with pure mountain water, fresh seafood from Shishikui and Tomoura ports, and locally raised meats such as Awaodori chicken and Nankoku wheat-fed pork.
We embrace a farm-to-table approach, using natural ingredients and additive-free seasonings. Vegan, vegetarian, and allergy-friendly meals are available with advance notice.
We also offer a selection of local sake from Tokushima and Kochi, as well as organic wines.

Start your morning with an American-style breakfast featuring homemade bread from Seaside Bakery Hana, served in our dining area with a view of the sea.

Nature & Scenic Spots
Kaiyo Town is home to a number of natural treasures, including the fossilized ripple marks (a designated Natural Monument), Mizutoko Bay, Shishikui Beach, Todoroki Falls, and the Noenamikiri Fudoson Temple with its sacred cedar.
Just a 40-minute drive away is Cape Muroto, part of the Muroto-Anan Kaigan Quasi-National Park and the UNESCO-listed Muroto Geopark, offering breathtaking coastal views.
Popular day-trip destinations include the Naruto Whirlpools, Iya Valley, Oboke and Koboke Gorges, the Miyoshi Geopark, Awa Earth Pillars, Katsurahama Beach, Kochi’s Makino Botanical Garden, Monet’s Garden, and the Niyodo River Valley.

Don't miss the unique DMV (Dual Mode Vehicle), the world's first vehicle that travels on both rails and roads.
Shishikui is located between temples 23 and 24 of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Cycling along the pilgrimage route, visiting Shinto shrines like Shishikui Hachimangu and temples like Jomanji, offers a spiritual and historical journey.
You can also try cultural experiences such as zazen meditation, indigo dyeing, or soba noodle making. Heading to Miyoshi City, you’ll find the vine bridge of Iya, rafting on the Yoshino River, and more. A trip to Tokushima or Naruto allows you to visit the Otsuka Museum of Art and explore the history of Awa Odori dance.
